Skilled Occupation List Changes (17 Jan 2018)

 

Given that there are now several occupation lists each covering different visa categories (457/186/189/190/489), the following is a brief overview of the occupations for where the DIBP have reported that they have made changes.

 

NOTE - If impacted you should check the list for your visa type. https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au

NOTE - this only impacts applications submitted on or after the 17th January 2018

NOTE * also that some additional caveats have been added/updated in some circumstances.

 

The DHA (prev DIBP) have announced changes in respect of the following occupations:

 

Added STSOL

Property Manager*

Psychotherapist

Real Estate Representative*

 

Moved from the STSOL to the MTLSSL

Horse Breeder*

Management Consultant*

 

Caveat Changes

Accommodation and Hospitality Managers nec*

Management Accountant*

Massage Therapist*

Recruitment Consultant*

Supply and Distribution Manager*

Taxation Accountant*

 

Removed from lists

Building Associate

Hair or Beauty Salon Manager
