Skill Select 189 visas
Details of the 20th September 2017 round of Invitations for the 189 SkillSelect visa invites have been published by the DIBP.

A score of at least 65 points (deeming date 13/09/2017) is still required for all non-ProRata 189 occupations in this round (SC489 - 60 points).
There are a number of factors in play in relation to this. Given that the quota of places has been reduced again for the November invites I suspect that this may cause the points score required for an invite to continue to remain at a higher level (although many of the 65 point backlog has now been cleared).
So far in this financial year no 60 point 189 EOIs have to-date been invited. Therefore, a backlog of 60 point EOIs will be developing, new EOIs with only 60 points may expect a delay before invite.
We have a graph on our website showing how the waiting periods / points required have varied over time. http://www.taylormadeimmigration.com/DaystoInvite

ProRata occupations have a higher point score requirement (Accountants at this round required 85 points) - I will post the DIBP table in the comments below. Almost 30% of the quota of places for the ProRata occupations have already been invited this migration year http://www.taylormadeimmigration.com/Quota2017.

We are hoping it may have been an issue - the DIBP are looking into this as the wider circumstances relating to the number who submitted with that score within the specific selection time frame is extra ordinary.

With regard to Accountants the DIBP have confirmed that the jump in the invitation score for accountants from 75 to 85 points is suspicious and the DIBP have informed the Migration Institute of Australia that it will be manually processing EOIs submitted by accountant applicants until the issue is resolved.
