I received CO contact asking for extra PCCs that we got but didn't upload (because of the <12 months rule, we figured it wasn't strictly necessary and would pull activation date to be sooner), or documents we did upload but probably put under the wrong category ("Evidence of functional English" rather than "Evidence of English").

This is somewhat frustrating, given my effort to be decision ready, but at least it is progress!

We booked our travel last night for our activation trip.

It's going to be a short one unfortunately as we had already made other plans for the first part of our leave, not knowing when the visa's would come through.

So we're departing JHB 28 Dec, arriving Perth 29 Dec, and then departing Perth 5 Jan.  A lot of flying for a week there!

Accommodation is sorted with my Aunt and Uncle that side, and we will also be seeing my cousin and his wife, as well as our friends who made the move there at the start of last year.

So we've very excited :)

any updates with the rest of the September group?

We went across to Perth in Dec/early Jan and activated our visas and had a great holiday.

We found out my wife is pregnant a few days before the grant, so we're going to have the baby in SA and move across when she's about a year old - so somewhere between July - Sept 2019.   Which means we need to apply for a S100 child visa!

@Rich990 Congrats on the happy news. Did you mean a 101 visa? I am waiting for one for my son now; beware - the processing times are long! So apply for you baba's passport as soon as you can and submit your application promptly.

Applying for another visa is a real pain <_<

Congrats! No updates from us yet. Still waiting patiently, or at least trying to...... I guess it's just a matter of time now.

@Rich990 you might also need to get new PCC as they are only valid for one year.

I do this on the PC - copy the table and paste into Word, then do whatever I need to do and copy it back. It's a bit of a pain but I don't think the website is designed to do it in the edit window.

@TamTam  My wife and I activated our visas in Dec, so we wont need to redo the PCC for ourselves.  We'll just need to follow the child visa process once baby is born :)

@Rich990 unfortunately if your existing PCCs have expired (only valid for 1 year) by the time you apply for your 101 visa then you have to get new ones. It is not related to the activation of your visas. It has to do with child protection. The rule is that you need a PCC for anywhere you have lived since you were 16 (or the past 10 years) for at least 12 months.

Please refer to this pdf as a bible of sorts if you intend to apply for the visa without an agent (https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/Forms/Documents/1128.pdf).

Hubby and I activated our visas in 2014 and applied for our 101 in 2016 - we had to get new PCC for South Africa and for The Netherlands where we have been living since 2014.

Ah awesome, thanks @TamTam, appreciate that!

Our PCC's expire 20 August, so hopefully that is enough time to get everything in order :)
