TeeTMI
Details of the 9th September 2017 round of Invitations for the 189 SkillSelect visa invites have been published by the DIBP. A score of at least 65 points (deeming date 03/08/2017) is still required for all 189 occupations in this round (SC489 - 60 points). There are a number of factors in play in relation to this but hopefully as with the last couple of months we see it moving back towards the 60 point requirement over the next couple of months. We have a graph on our website showing how the waiting periods have varied over time. http://www.taylormadeimmigration.com/DaystoInvite Whilst the DIBP are still reporting processing times for the 189 visa of 11-15 months on their website, I am hopeful that the next update will show dramatically reduced processing times. Processing has commenced again and the DIBP are getting through the backlog swiftly. The ProRata occupations have a higher point score requirement as per the DIBP table below. With almost 25% of the quota of places for the ProRata occupations already invited this migration year (July-June) http://www.taylormadeimmigration.com/Quota2017.
