'Aged' Parent Visa 1st July change in age requirement

Just a reminder to those looking at the 'Aged' Parent visa options. 

The definition of 'Aged' maps the age at which people become eligible to apply for the Aged Pension.  Therefore, as of the 1st July 2017 the age at which men and women will be considered 'Aged' will increase by 6 months every 2 years until it reaches 67 on the 1st of July, 2023. 

 

Aged Parent Visas – Changes will impact the following visa options.
    804, Aged Parent
    864, Contributory Aged Parent
    884, Contributory Aged Parent  (Temporary)
