Also have some good news my side. Woke up this morning to receive the email, visas granted. Its really exciting but now the real hard work starts.

Good luck to the rest of you that are waiting, I'm sure they will all come soon. It looks like February is a quick month or visas!!

Hi everyone

Seems like everything came to a grinding halt all of a sudden. @rossfamily , @CazK did you submit everything the CO asked for already ?

We've had assessment in progress for the last week or 2 already and its driving me nuts :whome:.

Hi @DannyReed32, yes we received our PCCs (sent them to the agent to be uploaded) and did medicals on 16 February, medicals were finally uploaded on about 23 Feb. So now we are just waiting for CO to get back to us. Our 28 days takes us to around 13 March or there abouts.

@DannyReed32 @CazK we still have to submit our PCC.  Our medicals were done and uploaded within 4 days of the CO requesting them (we were lucky to get an appointment quickly).

With the PCC though we asked the agent to send them in as this should have been the quickest option.  The online tracker states that they were ready for collection on the 14 Feb, but when the agent went to collect them he was told they are not ready ?

Hopefully he goes through tomorrow to collect them so we can submit.

What is killing me is the fact that this is all we need and it should have been ready almost 2 weeks ago.

@cazk our 28 days takes us to the 7 March.  So we are extremely frustrated and these days we keep checking to we if the agent has picked up the PCC and uploaded.

I hadn't realised this was a problem. They charge so much, I'd expect them to be over such things like white on rice.

Quite glad I opted to do it myself now. This is not the first time I've heard of tardiness on behalf of a well paid service provider ?

I don't understand something now, please correct me if I'm wrong

The 28 days you guys are talking about is the 28 days we were given to submit the required docs that the VPO requested right

So do you think the case officer will only come back to us with an answer after the 28days af done? That sucks....

@DannyReed32 , some people say that once the CO contacts you that they will only continue processing your application after the 28 days are up. I am not sure if this true but we got our grant 36 days after the initial CO contact. Hope this helps!

@acsss OMW ok... guess its the system they work to and it works for them. I checked on the immi account and it doesn't say whether it's business days so I took it as including weekends. our 28 day mark is then the 3rd of march... Really hope they start working on it then. all the best everyone

Medicals were uploaded this morning! :D

Last hurdle is the PCC's, hope they get done before I get a case officer!

Hopefully all will be uploaded before the CO has to request anything! ;)

@DannyReed32 I hope the 28 days is the time you have to reply and not the time the CO has to reply!

If it is it's quite inefficient!

Hi All

New to this form , and have just joined the agonising wait for my Visa

Submitted online for my 309 temp visa on the 10th February  2017

Final missing docs were uploaded on the 11th Feb. Medicals and police clearance and biometrics submitted.

Guess its the long wait now till I hear from a CO or get my grant. If any one knows how long this normally takes please let me know.

I've been told by the biometrics guys (TLS) that I'm in for a 6 - 12 month wait . From scouring this form it seems some get there's a lot sooner.

regards

Hi @Wolflyle

Yup I was also told it would be a long three month wait before I get a case officer.

Turns out it was a long 17 day wait!

Good luck, hope you get contacted soon!

Thanks for the well wishes! :D We are indeed very excited, but it is also daunting. There are certain family members (such as my mom) who are not going to take this news particularly well (a lot of family background stuff there, which I'm not going to unpack on this forum). We are doing this for our two boys...we just need to keep reminding ourselves that. But yes, celebrations tonight! :D

Congratulations @CazK If I remember correctly you are also Melbourne bound. Yay.

Negative responses are unfortunately part of the journey. Just remember that you are doing this from a place of positive intention #noguilt
