EOI - Citizenship of another country

JJDLmoving

Question

HI everyone

On the 1st page of the EOI it asks if the applicant is a citizen of any other countries. My wife has a french passport and she is the applicant. Obviously we have to say yes! but what are the implications? WIll we need to get french police clearance???

I am the additional / secondary applicant and i have a german passport. Would the same apply to me?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

JJ

As far as police clearances go, you only need to do one for every country you have spent twelve months or more in total in the last ten years.  i don'tknow if there are other implications

Both my husband and I have foreign passports and we had no issues at all.

Neither of us have lived outside SA in the last 10 years so we did not need police clearances other than from SA.
