Orphan Posted September 22, 2015 Report Share Posted September 22, 2015 Whilst on the subject of Venter Trailers......We didn't bring ours with us, because of the hassle and cost of exporting it. But I wish we had! For one, there are no similar trailer manufacturers in Australia. The local equivalent is a big square aluminium box on wheelsFor another, Australian trailers cost about 2.5 times more than in SA. (And don't talk about the cost of caravans here!) And lastly, Venter does not have a going business over here. They have a number of agents listed, but none of them are operational. The company in Sydney doesn't exist; there was no response from the company in Perth, and the guy in Melbourne told us that he disassociated from Venter SA more than a year ago, We even emailed Venter SA who, after nearly a month, responded that they were still "negotiating" with an Australian manufacturer.So, if you need or use a trailer, bring one with you 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We'll sort out the paperwork re <12 months ownership. We think it's worth it, considering it's an ingrained family tradition to take the Venter on holiday each year, so our kids should be able to have that too. (good excuse, hey?)We noticed the distinct lack of decent trailers during our LSD trip in Jan 2014, and decided to take our own Venter with us.
