wombatmuir Posted September 9, 2010 Report Share Posted September 9, 2010 Hi all,My husband and I arrived 3 weeks ago and so far its been a crazy whirlwind. Luckily my husband found work within 2 weeks and he starts on Monday. I am still interviewing and as fate would have it I have a lengthy interview on Monday. We don't know anyone in Brisbane which makes it really difficult and I have a 8 month old little girl who needs looking after while I'm at the interview. This is what I like to call 'Up poo creek without a paddle'. Can anyone make recommendations or have any suggestions for me. This is so difficult becuase how do I leave my daughter with someone I don't know from a bar of soap while I go off for an interview (one we desperately need to pay the bills). The Hotel we stayed at recommended them as their usual babysitting agency. Can't say we had any complaints - but then again, our little Angel slept through the entire evening, so the babysitter's job was easy. Just a thought if you're still stuck. Hubby and I were both sick with the flu and just needed somebody to come over and look after our child for an afternoon / early evening. A lovely lady came over and was fantastic - entertained, fed and bathed toddler while we caught up on some sleep.
