Bigvan07 Posted November 6, 2014 Report Share Posted November 6, 2014 Please send this information to all your friends who are receiving a package in SA - or want to send packages from SA, especially now with Christmas again on hand :A little bit of effort but with a fifth of the price !!-Drive to the OR Tambo freight division ( the building next to arrivals building - entrance from the highway )-Take the freight / cargo exit (from Pta side) . As you are driving along the highway , follow the road and when you are in the office park you turn left, go through the security gate, drive through - road makes a turn on a hill to the right, turn right and continue to the parking lot . ( just ask at the gate that they show you exactly where the SAA overseas cargo is.)- Go to SAA Cargo door no. 9 , there they will weigh the package , they keep the package , they will show you where to pay ( on the northern side of the building), you pay for the weight of the parcel .- Next to this building is a big building, agent building about 100 meters away, you walk on the paved walkway , going underneath the road through a tunnel of a few meters ,enter the building. Here you will need to go through two security checks. go to Floor 7 , Room 717 - Bruno Courier Holdings and ask for Kingsley.- They arrange everything for you at customs etc. etc.- The package cost me R770 and Bruno Courier Services asked me R450 and voila! R1200 instead R5100!-I had the package there on Monday morning before 10 and the NZ customs phoned Karin (the intended receiver of package in NZ) on Thursday morning and said the package was already there!-You can also organise beforehand with Kingsley at Bruno and he will meet you at the weigh in or when you arrive, you can you also call him then he comes to you there. then you have almost no trouble.
