Hi all

Please look at signature for time lines. I followed this email religiously for 6 months and its seems to be quite accurate as I lodged my application on the 28 March 2006 and in the week that I should have gotten a CO I did.

In fact I send an email on the Monday afternoon as usual and saw that it was my turn and by the Wensday I received a request for Meds and PCC.

The best part of following this it keeps you syn and gives you an idea on how long you still have to wait which is the worst part of all.

Cheers

Rudi

Hi forumites

Not sure if some of you are aware of the following site? :ilikeit:

Please if you are still busy with your PR visa, can you register on the site as there doesn't seem to be a lot of Saffers registered. It will really help us in getting a clear picture of what the timeline is for Saffer's visas..

And don't forgot to keep it updated and try to give as much info as possible!! :ilikeit:

Cheers

It will be a great help if more South Africans register on that website to give their countrymen a good idea of what the current timelines for our region are. :ilikeit:

and the moral of the story is...

If you are coming on a regional visa, LODGE IT ONLINE FIRST and then post the paperwork. You'll skip the queue by 4 and a half months! I wonder if the stats are correct.

On 7 November they were working on PR applications from 14 April, now on 5 Dec (4 weeks later) they are on 26 April (14 days) so they have fallen behind another 2 weeks, continuing the November trend.

Just looking at PR applications, on 1 Aug they were working on applications lodged 8 months earlier, on 15 Aug 8 and a half months, and then during September and October the time improved to 7 months and then 6 and a half months consistently and then November hit (Christmas on the horizon?). From 31 October to 5 December the processing time has picked up from 6 and a half months to 7 and a half months.

Hi All

If you follow this closely you will find that they hit times where there is no real movement some times they move quickly in one type of visa class and slower in another but they seem to average around about 6.5 - 7 months for NON MODL 136 applications.

Cheers

Rudi

That is wat it looks like. Our application were received in September 06, we received a letter from our imigration agent telling us that we will only have a case officer assigned to us in April 07. And that is 7 months.

Thats interesting, we are looking at sending in our application in the next month or so, so it looks like we might be in for a bit of a wait... :whome:

Hi Tommo

Yes unfortunately you are in for the long hall we submitted our application on the 28 March 2006 and received a CO some where in October (check my signature for exact dates) and DIMA still has not completed my application.

But just be patient it will come and they will eventually finish you application. The allocation of CO's are dependent on the amount of applications they receive so you will see that some times they allocate quicker that others, but it seems that the average time is about 7 months.

Cheers

Rudi

Hi

Our application was lodged on 22 May and we were allocated a Case Officer on 20 December (7 months) It's also informative to watch the other applicant's progress on austimeline. Note, however, that applicants from some countries (eg UK) are processed faster that SA applicants.

Good luck all

Cindy
