Sydney Braai

We've been talking about this for some time now - having a big braai for everyone with their families in Sydney. Please complete the poll to make arrangements easier. Also, please give your say on anything else : suggestions, concerns, ideas etc.

B.y.o. (bring your own):

Chairs/Picnic Blankets

Food (meat/boerewors, buns, salad etc...)

Drinks

Cutlery, plates, glasses, braaitang.....

Spices, salt etc

Shading (umbrella, gazebo)

Heat (Warm Jackets)

If every family bring 1 packet of anything (chips, savoury biscuits, lollies etc) - we can throw it all together (You can hide the chockies to eat later under the campfire blanket...... )

Stuff to keep the kids (& fit/show-off dads ) occupied: rackets & balls, scooters, kites.....)

Anything else I'm not thinking off?

Thanks for doing this Riekie - we've spoken about it for so long!

Date wise - I prefer Saturdays, but am not that fussy.

Venue - what about Bobbin Head - also in Ku-Ring-Gai NP?

I think you've covered off everything - the only thing that can get in the way is the weather!!!

Sounds like a great idea. We are not fussed as to the date. The venue of Ku-Ring-gi sounds perfect.

mid august sounds great to me. Time is not an issue either. But do think the earlier the better. Braai would be nice.

I prefer a Saturday and because it is not that warm right now (I know I'm a whimp!), 11am sounds good. The venue is not that important - anywhere is good - a nice open fire in the cold weather with a 'doppie' in hand can only be good!

Hi there

Sunday would be better for me, sport Saturday morning and arfi, don't want to upset the boys. Also early would be good, even a brunch.

As far as dates go can't do last Sun of the month, school fair.

As far as the venue goes anywhere Ku Ring Gai area would be great.

Dankie almal!! Sover lyk dit of dit 27 Aug 11uur by Fagan Park gaan wees, so hou asseblief die datum oop. Ek sal die "poll" nog los tot Vrydag voor ek die finale rëelings maak, so as jy saam wil kuier, en nog nie jou opinie gegee het nie, kan jy dit nog to Vrydag doen. 13 Mense het sover reageer, so dit lyk of ons 'n lekker groot groep gaan wees - wonderlik!!! (Die braai is nie net vir Suid Afrikaners op die forum nie - as julle ander Suid Afrikaners ken, nooi hulle asseblief ook saam - Afrikaans EN Engels!!)
