Hi everyone I hold a B.Ed in foundation phase teaching. The degree covers Gr R to Gr 3 (ages 5-9). Primary school teachers are NOT on the Skilled Occupation List, but Early Childhood teachers are. As far as I know Early Childhood in Australia refers to teaching children who are up to 8years old. So does that mean I qualify as an Early Childhood teacher for Visa purposes? My second question is whether my experience teaching in a Grade 2 class (age 7-8) would count as early childhood experience. Please help!
Hi All, I am very new to this but my wife and I have finally made the decision to go ahead with this process and make the move (if Visa application Successful) At this stage we do not have surplus funds to go through an agent so want to first try go it alone - hence the reason for my question: I have 2 possible Occupations that I could apply for (Both VETASSESS): - 1 Is on the latest 189 list Skilled Independent list (224711) - 1 is on the latest 190 Skilled Nominated List (224712) The occupation on the 190 list (224712) is probably a better fit to my experience than the 189 (even though they are very similar and are basically grouped together when I study the classification for the Skills ), but I have heard that 190 Visas are more difficult to get as they are sponsored and need to be state specific.... So which should I go for? (Keeping in mind we want to try go through this process WITHOUT an immigration consultant - who we understand can facilitate the 190 process easier than if we do it alone?) Any advice would be great - thank you Jason
Good afternoon, I've been wrestling with this problem and can't find a clear answer. A couple of months ago my fiancee and I made an ImmiAccount and filled out the medical declaration with me as the primary applicant and her as a partner. After we got out IELTS results back, we decided my fiancee stands a better chance and she should now be the primary applicant. Our medicals are on Monday and all the referral letters have me as the primary applicant. What do I do? Do we do the medicals with the HAP ID's we have, or does she create an ImmiAccount and we get new HAP ID's? Or can I change it on the ImmiAccount? Any help would be greatly appreciated, stressing that this might delay our visa! Kind regards, Janti
