Jordy Posted April 1, 2015 Report Share Posted April 1, 2015 The five road rules you didn’t know you were breaking, are:Your car must be locked, key removed from ignition and handbrake on if the driver is more than three metres away from their carCertainly guilty of the first when I go to pay for fuel.Sounds like a silly rule that everyone thinks they can ignore, but trust me when something goes wrong - the police will investigate and you will get charged with an offence.I am thinking of that one in a million accident that happens.What people dont realise is that for every single serious car accident, the police do an investigation and someone is charged with a criminal offence. In South Africa, they just clean up the mess and move on. Not in Australia. Here someone goes to court for a traffic accident. So if you accidently disobey a traffic regulation (such as skipping a red light when not concentrating) and you cause an accident you are charged with reckless driving which carries possible jail time. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AshB Posted April 2, 2015 Report Share Posted April 2, 2015 A stupid rule in Sydney where cars are allowed to park on the street if its double laned within a speed limit of 60 km but get fined if they park in a 2P parking if they over park their time by 2 hours ($104.00), ja sis what made these rules.
