I would advise one thing though- be an Insurance Tart! Look at changing insurers every year. Mikej Posted March 8, 2015 Report Share Posted March 8, 2015 Something I discovered is that your insurance is cheaper if your car is paid off. I don't know why perhaps because the insurer does not need to settle with the bank. The insurance company will not know when you pay your car off so make sure you call them and get your new rates when you reach that point. You will get a good rate in the first year, then come year 2 and you will get a renewal notice with a 17% -20% increase. Change each year.there are none that I am aware to steer clear of. They suck you in with "benefits" for years of memberships.... And they reward you with increasing annual premiums despite your car losing value. They have a price beat guarantee so we saved $100 a year..and my excess is less by $75! Now paying $660 a year.This for a Mitsubishi outlander 2010 not under finance.$20 400 agreed value.Ps, if anyone need life insurance or funeral insurance try "let's Insure" they beat real insurance every time!
