eMedical status tracking

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has used the eMedical status tracking, using your name, HAP id and DOB to see the status of it , and found 'errors' on it.

We did our medicals on 17/02/2015 - the full exam, xrays and blood tests, done and paid for in full on the day.

My husband's indicated that the Xrays were 'not completed'.....then when I phoned the radiologist, she acknowledged there was a tick box unticked on her side and corrected it, and said if I hadn't pointed it out, they would not have picked it up. Now today, the Xray part says 'complete', but the medical, which showed complete yesterday, shows 'awaiting grading'

Intercare Tygervalley are just useless when I try and query this with them.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Damn, this is enough to make your blood boil... As if there is not enough that we have to keep track of. Hope this does not delay your visa to much. Good luck.

Fortunately ( in this instance at least ) I am a control freak, so I got to bottom of it and got all relevant people to do their part between phone calls and emails. So all completed now and submitted to DIBP......

It is difficult to put your future in other people's hands, and hope that they have the diligence to do their jobs properly. I don't know what made me find out if there was a way of tracking the progress of the medical submission, but am thanking God that I did!

Hope you hear from ICAA soon and get that EOI in :D

We went for medicals today and Dr Van der Spuy and the entire team who helped with x-rays, blood tests and medical tests were all oustanding. Kept all our clothes on ;)

Em, the x-rays now show 'completed', the blood tests show 'referred', and the medical tests still show 'required'. How long did your results take to update? Amazing that x-rays are already updated but the medical test isn't ... yet.

Hi Mistermoose. I agree, the team doing the tests are very friendly etc. We just had hiccups in all not doing the online process properly. So medicals on 17th, emedical submitted by Intercare as complete on all 3 categories 25th. I do know tha the Dr reviews the X-rays too, so even though xrays themselves are complete, he may still need to review as part of medical, which is why yours show required. He will also report on hiv results.

Thanks for those timelines. For some weird reason, I really thought that medicals would be sorted on the same day. Didn't think it would take a full week. Oh well :)

Apparently there had already been 10 other people coming through for Aus visa medicals on Friday, and when we left there were another two after us. There seems to a solid queue forming out there ...

  • 1 year later...

I came across this post now and thought i would also add my 2cents :)

We had our medicals & x-rays done yesterday in Durban.

There is only one place you can go in KZN but it was rather busy but they were good and all seemed to go well.

I checked last night and noticed this:

501 Medical Examination - Completed

502 Chest X-ray Examination - Referred or incomplete (cant recall)

707 HIV Test - Referred or incomplete (cant recall)

708 Hepatitis B Test - Referred or incomplete (cant recall)

716 Hepatitis C Test - Referred or incomplete (cant recall)

I checked early this morning again (im very impatient ;) ) and was the same.

I just checked now again this afternoon and mine had changed to:

501 Medical Examination - Awaiting Grading

502 Chest X-ray Examination - Complete

707 HIV Test - Complete

708 Hepatitis B Test - Complete

716 Hepatitis C Test - Complete

And my wifes says:

 501 Medical Examination - Complete

502 Chest X-ray Examination - Complete

707 HIV Test - Complete

708 Hepatitis B Test - Complete

716 Hepatitis C Test - Incomplete

Very strange as we did them at the same time but i hope they didn't forget to do 716 for my wife and i hope that my medical doesn't have a problem if its "awaiting grading"

Anyone have anymore info on this?

Thanks so much :)

So if eMedical says "complete" for all, do I take it that the medical was fine?  Everything submitted by eMedical on 26 August and we've heard nothing from department.  According to my agent "no news is good news" regarding the medical.

@BellaR would be interested to know too if someone in the know can advise. And whether once it's shown Complete whether there's any chance it could still be referred.
