Lodged at beginning of December, heard from the case officer for the first time on the 21st of January and found out we had the visa on the 23rd January.Good luck! Hell yeah!!!10 September 2014- Visa Lodged3 November 2014- Case Officer assigned! 17 November 2014- VISA GRANTED!!! Good luck, not long now! We would still be waiting if we did not go back to Home affairs, escalated the issue three times with two weeks waiting each time. At the end someone on the forum gave us a phone number of an Afrikaans Lady in Home Affairs Pretoria. She stirred things from the top and we had the certificate the next day at Home affairs in Stellenbosch. Start hounding him. He was rude to my husband telling him he was wasting his time to which hubby replied well you have wasted 8 months of my time! We had the certificate the next day.We had also contacted the Western cape Provincial Manager of DHA and had been hounding him (nice man). So I stole your advise, contacted the guy, who was very nice actually. Said we should sms our details to him. He immediately replied to us with another guys name and nr and said phone him. We did and left a voice mail and sent him an sms. 30 Min later my husband got a call from another guy who said our certificate is ready and we can collect it. This was Tuesday. Yesterday we collected the certificate with no issues and last night at 19:10 the secretary of the Head contacted us to find out if everything went well?I am still gobsmacked as to how quickly this went after spending months on the phone with the call center ...Thank you VERY VERY much...now only PCC's outstanding Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I called Wednesday and picked up my UBC today.....months of frustration settled within 2 days. Sent my last PCC in today as well, so hopefully soon we will hold that dear letter in our hands.
