Though of giving a bit back, since getting so much information on the site.

Vetassess application is now processed electronically

Once you have registered, completed the application form and paid the fee you can submit all the documents on line.

You get send a document that you must sign and scan in and attach as part of documents.

The system allows for 50 documents to be submitted (open for 30 days after payment and submitting application)

Once processed (ours took 9 weeks, but Vetasses says 10-12 weeks), system confirms "Completed" takes 24/48 hours to confirm "positive/negative" unless if status is on a Friday then it takes until Tuesday next week (looooong wait). Outcome letter in pdf which has digital security fixtures (can be downloaded and saved)

Guidance on some of the documents:

No invoices or payslips to submit - Get copies of bank statements and highlight payments (get bank stamps on all pages)- make sure to mention your "yearly earnings" in your statutory declaration. Ask bank for client page, update, ask them to correct and reprint

Letter from attorney/accountant - must be on letterhead and signed - no need to certify

Supplier invoice e.g. mweb/Telkom with trading name

2 or 3 client letters confirming job/work/service (taken from ANSZCO list) and that same was paid employment (no need to certify)

Copies of projects/outcomes of services (2 projects were enough for us)

Photo must be in jpeg format when scanned in

PS - I am not professing that this will give you a positive result, but this is what we used and for our case it worked (3+ years employment experience approved as well)
