IOM and luggage insurance

Does anyone know who offers luggage insurance for tickets purchased through IOM (they don't accept credit cards, therefore no automatic luggage insurance)?

Neither the banks, nor TIC offer luggage insurance, just every other kind of insurance, but not the one we need.

With the luggage allowance of 40kg allowed through IOM, it will needless to say be quite a loss to have the luggage disappear...

Many thanks in advance!

We could not find anybody......the ones we did find was only going to cover small items and nothing over R4000 per item (can not even remember who quoted us). Our biggest concern was not the clothing and "stuff" we had packed but hubbies MTBike that came along in a bike box. The box alone was worth R3000 and the bike over R20k....so the insurance would not have helped. We made a little prayer and got on the plane....

We were over the limit and was told to take our stuff out and pack an extra suitcase. We kind of knew this was going to happen to we brought a long one of those "streep sakke" and filled it with clothing out of the other suitcases. We were then told that the bike can go for free and this new suitcase can count as our allowance. We would however have to pay for and extra piece once we get to Perth to fly to Brisbane. When we got to perth our "Streep sak" was gone....but there was another similiar one left on the conveyar belt all by its self....so we knew that someone must have just taken the wrong one.

So instead of paying extra for the extra suitcase (that we no longer had) we just boarded the plane and we got the suitcase dropped at our front door a few days later when the lady returned it to the airport (and it was for free)

so the little prayer did help :)
