Any feedback on Bowral?

Hi everyone,

For some reason my husband is very drawn to Bowral. The style of properties appeals, sort of country feel and also the cooler climate, being Southern Highland area would be a bonus (even the odd flurry of snow!) I'm not yet convinced but am open to visiting the area to see how it feels. Our daughter and family are up the Central Coast. Just not sure that's where we would like to live?? Having said that, I've looked at areas like Erina and it looks nice. Of course it all depends on where the jobs are too. Any feedback on either of these would be most welcome. Thanks x

Gee Bowral! Had to Google map that one. Not sure about jobs unless he has a trade or does something rural. You will have a quiet life but at least only 1.5 hours from Sydney.

Jamie, that part of the world is beautiful and quiet. No different really to the beautiful, quiet country areas north of Sydney. I dont know how old you are and if you will work in Aus too. BUT, if it was me, and my family were on the Central Coast, I would definitely settle north of Sysney and not even entertain the south. North and south is much of a muchness, really. Settle once and stick to it. As you get older you will rely on family more and they on you. A move when you are much older will be like a second immigration. The cental coast is lovely, Hunter valley and surrounds too. There are thousands of great places to live. People like Berowra (on the train line) north of Sydney too and even commute to jobs on the city. I would say focus on the north, forget the south. I would say the opposite if your family were south.

Thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated. Rozellem I agree being closer to family is very important. I think we just have to get there and explore all these areas to see what feels right.
