followmylead
Like all of you, these $&@#% trolleys drive me nuts! But I think I made a breakthrough. These trolleys are meant to be steered one handed- holding in the middle of the bar. Managed to keep it going straight when I did that. I am sure you clever clogs already knew this ? SurferMan
Ya, try a slope, you end up looking like a high former F1/taxi driver with your ass at odd angles as you battle the 4 wheeled juggernaut trolley that is hell bent on running down the nearest kid or hitting the most expensive car in the lot! LOLI dont go to Bunnings anymore, I go to Masters....why, THEY HAVE FIXED REAR WHEEL TROLLEYS!!! YAAAAY!Woohooo!
Donovan83
I don't know why you people complain so much. I find I get a GREAT core workout trying to keep them going in a direction vaguely in line with where I want to go. Really targets those ab muscles.
HadEnoughofJuju
My daughter and I absolutely love the trolleys much to my wife's disgust. We do donuts down the isles, slide around corners and park sideways wherever we get the chance. I rate they should make trolley surfing a legit sport.Of course my daughter is the one riding in the trolley, wish I was young again.
Johnno
ja funny okes, we'll all be bitching and moaning sitting in the Medicare que waiting 5 years for a hip replacement.......but hey, those were the days LOL!!!
Bronwyn&Co
Sideways is the only thing that works. Alternatively you buy half your groceries & go put them in the car. Then you go back in & buy the other half. True story.
Fish
Getting the trolley angle right is great fun...spinning them in circles with the kids on board is a bonus...I thought you guys from South Africa loved sport ?
HadEnoughofJuju
I must be the only Saffa that enjoys these trolleys. Must admit though always wanted to be a race car driver but have had to settle for the Coles Olympics instead.
SurferMan
I must be honest, the Masters trolleys we are weird after the four wheel freak shows. I actually prefer the freak trolleys. HEOJJ I also do spinning, donuts etc with the kids, they love it. I also race down the isles, but it's a bit hard riding one cos I'm a big fella.. qwerty
I call it the trolley swagger...my poor hips! Hubby seems to know how to steer these things...so that's his responsibility when we go shopping
HansaPlease
Only when you can control the trolley on camber and keep a straight face, can you really be considered to have mastered the art. So that means no straining, swearing, grunting, grimacing, panting or frowning... Nothing but a look of calm serenity on your face that says: "...that's right, I tell this trolley where to go. I OWN this trolley... (until I get my $2 back that is, then some other sucker can have it)..."Only then...

There might be some sort of mathematical equation available, which takes into account your weight, height, & how much you spent on groceries ? Anything under 1,8m tall or under 70kgs in weight, or over $180 in shopping spend, is going to be a problem, especially over raised zebra crossings....

HadEnoughofJuju
I do all manner of things with those trolleys, they drift best when slightly loaded. A 6 year old is the perfect weight.
