VanTonderFamily
I can smell our visa - but not even a sound from our case officerCan they just get on with it already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HadEnoughofJuju
Waiting is unfortunately the hardest part of this process but once you have that visa, light speed kicks in and you don't have enough time to fit in all the things you want or need to do before leaving. Enjoy this time off, it's the lull before the storm.
DXB2OZ
Checking the email every five minutes gets really old really quickly. Best of luck - holding thumbs.
Mel-B
I know the feeling! Just hang in there and start fixing and cleaning your furniture. I just realised that all my furniture needs some sort of varnishing or painting or fixing. *sigh* Labour of love though!! All for a good cause. Good luck! SurferMan
Ah man,Do I know that feeling, both the nomination and application show as In Progress, not a sound from anyone. I do suspect though that mine may go to direct grant as they had to manually work on it to add my daughter to the bridging visa. (I hope so anyways!) VanTonderFamily
Luckily we went through the tough bit already - we have been in Aus for 4 months - but I really need this PR Day care for our daughter currently costs us $91 a day (ouch) And I don't want to be this "temporary resident" anymore... Aus will be stuck with me for a long time to come

Maligso
What can you claim for stay at home mummy SurferMan? Can you claim if kids go to pre-school? I've got two 3 year olds and a 6 year old.

Sunnyskies
No, I don't think that is right. If your spouse doesnt work you get a deduction of about $2 500 on your taxable income provided you don't claim family benefit B. If you do the amount is reduced. Your spouse can earn up to about $10k and you can claim a pro rata share on a sliding scale. This is one of the planned items to be scrapped under the new budget.
