We are trying to go to Australia on a 190 visa with me as the main applicant. My husband wants to join the police on that side as that is his area of expertise. We are looking for as much information as we can find at this stage to see if it is feasible.We have made contact with the police on that side and it seems it will be okay, but would like to hear it from other sources as well!Any ideas, information....? The state police are the main police service most people deal with. There is also the Australian Federal Police (AFP). Victoria had a rule of not employing you until a year after you left your previous police position. Not sure if that is still in place.
