sonjae Posted July 8, 2014 Report Share Posted July 8, 2014 Hi group!I need some suggestions please.I arrived in Aus a week ago ( from NZ, now NZ citizen) and have many years experience as a pharmaceutical rep. having done all aspects of the job.( Hospitals, Gp's, Specialists, Pharmacies)Have brilliant sales results .Also have a degree. Applied for huge number of positions over the last month, most through agencies with no luck.Currently living with a friend on the Gold Coast but would be prepared to relocate.I would consider any repping role.Is there anyone out there who can help?!Would really appreciate some input. We currently have two position going in WA. Not sure if you wanna go there?? Let me know. U might be able to pull some strings. If not, make sure to get in touch with medical reps where you are currently living. Ask them if you can join them on the road for a couple of days. You will find not having Oz experience is the buggest hurdle to overcome. This way they can see that you are determined and you can now compare Sa experience with Oz. This is what I did and it helped allot. Dont just wirk through agents. They will only put forward people they think they will be able to get in - they get commission - not necessarily the best person for the job. Contact companues directly and ask ti soeak with the hiring manager/ HR manager. Ask fir an appointment even if they dont have positions going. Get infront of people.
