JadeWilks
Hi all,Just wanted to share an experience with everyone. In Dec, my husband received confirmation of an internal transfer for us to relocate to Sydney, Australia. We are currently in Cape Town. Since receiving news, I have been frantically applying for new roles for me when I relocate. However, after two months, I was starting to get worried. Only automated responses from recruitment agencies. My friend recommended a company called itouch solutions, an Australian based resume writer. The transformation has been incredible - feels like a totally new me. I can see the mistakes I was making before, but more over, they used a number of tips to focus on my competencies, transferable skills, and totally re-aligned my resume.Since then, I had phone calls and I start a new job in two weeks (just one week after we touch down !!!!).Some tips the company also shared with me was; if necessary, take out location on your CV as overseas applications often get rejected, or at the very least, add a specified arrival date on the Cover letter. Make sure they gain see Australian PR if you have it. Change your position title to reflect the market title. Don't be scared to totally revamp all your content in the resume and align the content with your intended target (the last point probably being the most important). The company I used can be found on www.resume-solutions.com.au (itouch resumes). Try and use Roland if you can, he was the one I was recommended to and I can't speak highly enough.I hope all goes wellPeaceJade xx Edited May 13, 2014 by JadeWilks

1982
Hey DXB2OZDid that include editing your linkedin acc? Or was it just for the cv restructure? Thanks
julesktm1
Hi he charges usd 120 for linked in. Just take the cv and use that to populate your account. The words he has at the top of cv use that as your specialities. Go see my linked in if that helps. He is brilliant though if you can it it money really well in invested. SurferMan
That is good news and bizarre. He keeps telling me he has no slots open for months but others are getting CV's done. julesktm1 can you advise what sector you are in CV wise? I am in IT and Roland advises he has no IT people available to process CV's.
julesktm1
Hi I did mine more than three months ago. He has specialists that do these cvs. Ask him if he can put you on a waiting list maybe ask him I You can pay and wait. Best of luck
1982
We decided to have my husbands resume 'Australianized' and received it back this week. We were a little hesitant to have it done due to the cost and my husbands line of work (Golf Director / Club manager), however were very impressed with the service, professionalism and turn around time produced by Roland at Itouch. Now let's hope we get some bites We feel confident having done it, will start applying for available positions this week even though we only fly out mid September. Keep you posted on the outcome. JevonLeRoux
Thanks to this forum I have made contact with Roland from iTouch. Still at the quote and pay stage which has just been completed. Keen to kick start the process and see how it turns out. By the sounds of things from above it really looks like it's going to be a win. Is there any feedback from members with regard to the process of providing him with feedback and how long it takes from completing the questions to preparing the resume, summary letter, and LinkedIn profile? JadeWilks
Hi Kalahari - I think it's a different price depending on experience. I paid around 380 at the time.
